Background Check 

1. Create an account with USA softball of Dallas/Ft worth at https://usasoftballdfw.org

• After completing your registration, login to your account

2. On your mobile device or computer, access your dashboard by selecting the drop-down menu located in the upper left corner

3. Click the menu button located to the right of your name. If on a computer, the menu should be showing under actions

4. Select Compliance 

• Here you will see both background Checks and SafeSport

• Click on background check 

• Follow the process to complete

Both the background check and the SafeSport training will need to be completed if you will be coaching, assistant coaching, managing or will be stepping on the fields at any time 

SafeSport Training 

1. Follow the steps 2-4 on getting your background Check

• Under compliance , click on SafeSport 

2. Select "1st time with SafeSport”

• Follow the instructions to set up your account 

3. Once in your account, select “SafeSport Trained- NGB1”

• This course is free

                This is a requirement 

4. If you have already completed the course earlier this spring or fall you will need to upload your certificate. 

• The SafeSport website will walk you through the upload steps

Registering your child with USA Softball Insurance

1. You should have received an email from USA softball on August 11th with instructions to register your child.

• If you cannot find this email, please contact the secretary as soon as possible so we can complete the registration as this provides your child with insurance coverage for this fall season 

New Assistants 

1. If you just decided to volunteer and help assist your coach or team please send the secretary your email address, team name and age division

• I will add you to the USA softball system and send you an invitation via email so you can begin and complete the background check and SafeSport process.
