COVID-19 Statement

During this rapidly evolving situation, causing widespread cancellations of community gatherings, professional, collegiate and high school level sporting events as well as school closings, MGSA feels the time has come to make a responsible decision. The health and safety of our players, coaches, umpires and spectators is, and will always be, our number one priority. 
The Midlothian Girls Softball Associations Board of Directors has made the decision to postpone our previously determined timeline for the 2020 Spring season. This does NOT mean we are cancelling the season. This does mean notification of opening and closing dates as well as posting of regular season schedules has been delayed until further notice.
At this time, weather permitting, we will allow coaches to continue scheduled practices at their discretion. If parents are uncomfortable with their child attending practices, players will not be penalized for their absence during this period.
If the City of Midlothian mandates the cancellation of ALL activities, we will notify coaches and parents immediately. MGSA will continue to monitor the situation, as well as recommendations from city and government officials. As additional information becomes available for our specific region and community, updates will be provided.
